CountryMark's Co-op System

Local ownership, local impact
Unlike most other fuel refiners, CountryMark is a cooperative business. CountryMark is owned and controlled by CountryMark member cooperatives. Each member co-op, in turn, is owned and controlled locally.

While co-op members are also customers, the cooperative’s products and services are available to the public. You need not be a member to do business with a cooperative.

Once the cooperative’s financial obligations are met, profits are returned to members in the form of equity or cash refund payments called patronage. This patronage is distributed in proportion to the volume of business a person does with the co-op. In other words, the profits of CountryMark remain in local communities where the dollars support local economies.

CountryMark supplies fuel to 18 member cooperatives in Indiana that distribute branded products through a network of 90 retail fuel stations, 180 petroleum tankwagons and numerous transports.

CountryMark fuel is delivered daily to individuals, companies, farms and government entities throughout Indiana and neighboring states.

CountryMark products fuel an estimated 65-70% of Indiana farmers and power about half the buses that deliver Indiana children to school each day.

We’re proud to provide the highest quality fuels to local cooperatives who, in turn, deliver products to their customers with exceptional service.
