CountryMark’s Fueling Wishes fundraiser raised over $20,000 to help fund the wishes of two Hoosier children battling life-threatening illnesses. During the month of September, CountryMark donated 15 cents for every gallon of fuel sold at the Speedy Pete’s CountryMark station in Monroe City, Indiana and the AgBest Express CountryMark station in Eaton, Indiana.

“We are thankful for our branded dealers and their employees for supporting this event and providing a great experience for their customers to make Fueling Wishes a success,” said Matt Makinson, VP of Supply & Marketing at CountryMark.  “Thank you to the community of Eaton and Monroe City for supporting your local station and making these wishes possible!”

In Monroe City, Indiana, the Speedy Petes CountryMark fuel station raised $10,000 to fund Kiara’s wish – a four-year old Hoosier child fighting B-Cell Leukemia. Additional donations for Kiara’s wish were collected inside Speedy’s Petes through donation boxes.

CountryMark partnered with Speedy Petes owner-operator Dave Peters, member cooperative, Keystone Cooperative, and local nonprofit Indiana Wish to make Kiara’s wish a reality.

In northern Indiana, the AgBest Express CountryMark fuel station in Eaton, Indiana raised $10,154.82 to fund Ruth’s wish – a local child battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. In addition to the funds raised from fuel sales and donations collected in-store, AgBest contributed $1,400 towards funding Ruth’s wish.

Through CountryMark’s partnership with member cooperative AgBest and Indiana Wish, Ruth will now get to experience her wish of traveling to Boston, MA to tour Revolutionary War sites.

“AgBest was very proud to partner with CountryMark to help raise Wish funds for a child in our local community through the Fueling Wishes campaign,” said Steve Prible, energy manager for AgBest, a farm cooperative headquartered in Muncie, Ind. “We are a locally owned and operated company and at every opportunity we want to support and give back to our local communities. Helping Ruth achieve her wish of a trip to Boston was a no-brainer for AgBest.”

Indiana Wish is an Indiana-focused nonprofit organization granting wishes to Indiana children ages 3 – 18 diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.

The nonprofit will use 100% of the proceeds from Fueling Wishes to ensure Kiara and Ruth’s wishes are granted.
