CountryMark fuel stations in Greenfield, Indiana and Winslow, Indiana raised more than $28,000 during the month of September to fund the wishes of two local children battling life-threatening illness through CountryMark’s Fueling Wishes fundraiser.
Proceeds from the fundraisers resulted from CountryMark donating 20 cents for every gallon of fuel sold during the month of September as well as generous in-store donations collected at the Co-Alliance Farm Store for the Greenfield, Indiana CountryMark station and the Country Junction Convenience Store for the Winslow, Indiana CountryMark station.
“CountryMark is thrilled to continue this partnership with Indiana Wish to support these great children and their families who have faced such challenge and stress in their lives,” said Matt Makinson, Vice President of Supply & Marketing at CountryMark. “We are proud of our branded dealer participation and the intentional effort of the surrounding community to visit these stations and support these wishes!”
The Greenfield, Indiana CountryMark station raised over $15,000 to fund the wish of Janiyah, a 14-year-old Indianapolis child awaiting a heart transplant with a wish to travel to Disney World with her family.
CountryMark partnered with member cooperative Co-Alliance Cooperative Inc. and local nonprofit Indiana Wish to make Janiyah’s wish trip a reality.
“Co-Alliance is thrilled with the support from our community and local businesses for the support in Fueling Wishes in Greenfield,” said Cathy Logan, Retail Manager for Co-Alliance. “The opportunity for Janiyah and her family to make lifelong memories is a treasure that will be held close to their hearts. We have enjoyed hearing the stories of their amazing time at Disney World and how much it meant to them!”
In southwestern Indiana, the CountryMark station in Winslow raised nearly $13,000 to fund the wish of Amelia, a seven-year-old Pike County child suffering a complete heart block with a wish to also visit Disney World with her family.
Through partnership with member cooperative SynEnergy Partners and Indiana Wish, Amelia will now get to experience her wish trip to Disney World.
“SynEnergy Partners is immensely grateful to the Winslow and surrounding communities for showing generous support for such a wonderful cause,” said Jeff Owens, Chief Operating Officer at SynEnergy Partners. “Through the collaborative partnership between SynEnergy Partners, CountryMark, Indiana Wish, Country Junction and the community we were able to exceed our initial Fueling Wishes goal of $10,000 and make Amelia’s wish a reality. This event provided SynEnergy Partners and our employees with an added opportunity to give back and support the communities that we serve. It is our hope that Amelia’s Disney World experience is filled with lasting memories for she and her family.”
Indiana Wish is an Indiana-focused nonprofit organization granting wishes for Hoosier children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses.
The nonprofit will use 100% of the proceeds from Fueling Wishes to ensure Janiyah and Amelia’s wishes are granted.
